The George Institute for Global Health is 600+ people in 13+ countries around the world, focused on improving the health of millions of people. A medical research institute affiliated with leading universities and with projects in approximately 50 countries, ‘The George’ is challenging the status quo in healthcare to find the best ways to prevent and treat chronic disease and injury, and to influence policy and practice worldwide. At Sentrient, we are pleased to be helping The George Institute to efficiently and reliably deploy policy and training content globally to its 600+ staff.

The George Institute came across Sentrient when it needed an online solution to achieve policy sign-off, thereby overcoming the problems associated with its manual approach to this important governance function. After quickly achieving this outcome, Sentrient then worked with The George Institute to deploy customised versions of its Equal Employment Opportunity course to align with its global strategy for Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging.

12 months into our partnership, we asked Erika Burmeister, Director Global HR Division, about her experience with the Sentrient team and its system.

“The support we get from Sentrient is second-to-none. You get more than just a system – you get a partnership,I cannot say enough good things about working with Sentrient. Gavin is the easiest partner I’ve ever worked with: responsive, helpful, and always finds ways to delight me as a customer.”

Erika noted that the Sentrient LMS and training content has been very well received by users.

“Our staff are grateful that we are now presenting material to them in this way. Feedback on the EEO course has been particularly positive – our people are really learning something.”

From a system administration point of view, Erika said that her HR team find the Sentrient LMS very easy to use. “Our reporting requirements are met at the press of a button, and the system has helped to professionalise the HR services we provide within the organisation. Our leadership team are very happy with the result.”

As the George Institute grows globally, it recognises the critical need to be very clear on expected standards of behaviour. “The George values and standards around diversity, inclusion and belonging must be understood and reinforced,” emphasised Erika. “To be able to deploy content to a global audience quickly, in a standardised way, and at a sensible cost is great.”

Sentrient is proud of its partnership with The George Institute, and looks forward to supporting its online learning agenda in the years ahead.
