Engineers Australia (EA) is the largest and most diverse body of engineers in Australia. As Australia’s principal engineering association, EA serves and represents around 100,000 professionals at every level, across all fields of engineering practice. At Sentrient, we are proud to be helping EA meet the online training needs of its 250 permanent staff and its network of more than 3,000 volunteers Australia-wide.

In early 2017, EA was looking for an online learning solution for compliance training. EA found its way to Sentrient through market research and its understanding of the Australian e-learning landscape through its education subsidiary, Engineering Education Australia.

10 months into our partnership, we asked EA’s National Human Resources Manager, Merisha Percival, to reflect on her first-hand experience with the Sentrient team.

“Sentrient has been the best customer service experience I’ve had in a long time,” Merisha said. “Gavin is agile and flexible in his approach. He has been very open to our feedback, and is always seeking opportunities to improve the user experience.”

Staff and volunteers at EA have found the Sentrient LMS to be an intuitive interface that is easy to use. Their consistent feedback to Merisha has also been that Sentrient’s suite of compliance courses are clear, simple and interactive.

As a HR professional and system administrator, Merisha said that she also finds the Sentrient interface to be “intuitive and easy to use”. Merisha noted that the reporting functions were particularly good, with the dashboard screen views and pre-formatted reporting templates giving EA everything it needs.

EA is committed to providing a safe and respectful workplace for its staff and volunteers, where individual responsibilities are understood and leaders support EA’s ethics through their actions. The EA leadership team intends to maintain high professional workplace standards for the wider engineering profession to follow, and we at Sentrient are pleased to be a supporting partner.
