Join us for an exclusive hands-on workshop at the RACV Club, 501 Bourke Street, Melbourne, where you’ll experience live simulations of HR and GRC incidents.
This 3-hour face-to-face interactive workshop will guide you through real-life scenarios of common HR and GRC incidents, provide practical legal insights into incident response and compliance management, and demonstrate how to configure the Sentrient platform to better prepare for future challenges.
We’ve got Kirra Griffin, Lawyer at Mills Oakley, available for legal guidance, and the Sentrient Account Management Team, for System Administrator guidance, available for the whole afternoon as we take you through these simulations!
Whether you’re in HR, compliance, or risk management, this workshop is designed for System Administrators, as it will equip you with the tools and confidence to take proactive steps in setting up your instance of the Sentrient Compliance, GRC, and HR platform, enabling you to respond effectively when incidents arise.

1.00 PM – Welcome and Opening Remarks
Kick off the Incident Simulation Workshop with an overview of challenges in today’s workplace and an explanation of how evidence collection matters, with a focus on scenarios with regards to Respect at Work and Positive Duty, and Psychological Health and Safety and Psychosocial Hazards
1.15 PM – Simulation 1: Respect at Work and Positive Duty
Theme:
Meeting obligations under the Respect@Work framework and demonstrating compliance with the new Positive Duty.
Scenario:
An employee reports repeated inappropriate comments from a colleague, escalating into a workplace harassment complaint. Under the Respect@Work framework and the Positive Duty introduced by the Australian Human Rights Commission, the organisation must show proactive steps to prevent and respond to such conduct.
Key Focus Areas:
- Understanding the Positive Duty to eliminate sexual harassment, discrimination, and victimisation in the workplace
- Identifying risks when organisations fail to act on early warning signs
- Using the Sentrient platform to document proactive risk management, record complaints and management responses, track policy acknowledgements and training completion, and document corrective actions, investigations, and follow-up measures
Learning Outcome:
Participants will learn how proactive evidence collection and documentation within the HR & GRC platform can demonstrate compliance with Respect@Work obligations, reduce legal exposure, and promote a safe and respectful workplace culture.
2.45 PM – Simulation 2: Psychological Health and Safety and Psychosocial Hazards
Theme:
Supporting employee wellbeing and meeting legal obligations around psychological health and safety
Scenario:
An employee raises a complaint about psychological health and safety and they are suffering stress and anxiety. The situation escalates into a formal grievance, with potential exposure under Fair Work and WorkSafe requirements.
Key Focus Areas:
- Understanding employer responsibilities under Fair Work and WorkSafe in relation to mental health
- Identifying risks of negligence claims when well-being concerns are not addressed
- Using the Sentrient platform to document proactive risk management, employee requests and management responses, track wellbeing initiatives, training, and policy acknowledgements, and record corrective actions and follow-up support measures
Learning Outcome:
Participants will learn how evidence collection and documentation within the HR & GRC platform can demonstrate compliance, protect against legal claims, and foster a culture of well-being in the workplace.
