The Company
Founded in 2001, the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is Australia's largest human rights organisation providing support to asylum seekers and refugees. As an independent, not-for-profit organisation, ASRC champions the rights of people seeking asylum by offering services that enhance their physical, mental, and social well-being. The centre’s community-based movement relies on dedicated volunteers and supporters to create lasting social and policy change.
The Challenge
ASRC was in search of a platform that could simplify its learning management system (LMS) and offer an efficient way to deliver and monitor compliance training. Their previous setup presented challenges related to managing and distributing content. ASRC's team was tasked with creating and maintaining their own training material, which consumed significant resources. The ASRC was introduced to Sentrient through internal referrals, with staff members already familiar with the platform from previous collaborations. While other solutions were considered, Sentrient stood out as the preferred choice due to its simplicity, functionality, and ability to streamline training processes.
The Solution
Sentrient’s platform addressed ASRC's need to simplify content management and ensure compliance with relevant legal requirements. It enabled the team to automate processes that were previously manual and time-consuming. The ASRC project team noted, “We didn’t need to be the subject matter experts with the content,” as Sentrient maintained and updated all relevant course content. This eliminated the burden of managing compliance as the platform provided legally endorsed content in a simple and efficient way. “We’ve streamlined the way that we work, and it’s light touch,” they added, underscoring the platform’s intuitive design and automated updates that have simplified their workflows.
