FAQs

How hard is it to pass each course?

Each course is built with an 80% pass mark requirement. All courses are made up of an e-learn, which is a requirement prior to undertaking the assessment and will provide all answers within the unit. If you have successfully completed the e-learn, you can be assured that you have the knowledge to pass the assessment.

I have limited time. How long will it take to undergo this training?

Courses are approximately 30 minutes in duration and can be completed on the go, either on a mobile device or a desktop. We understand time is precious and have ensured our courses contain an adequate level of competency and ease of access to ensure anyone can complete them, at any time!

I work with complex needs patients. Are there any trainings to support this?

Yes, definitely! We have a range of courses that are designed to equip you with the skills to work with complex needs participants. We are always innovating as well, and this list is not exhaustive.

I’ve completed the theoretical part of the course. Do I need to have the practical component signed off by a qualified Health Professional? How can I find a Health Professional to do this?

Certain courses, like the High Intensity Courses, require practical training to ensure you’re fully skilled in that area. As an independent support worker, you’ll need to find your own Health Professional to sign off on this competency. However, if you’re employed by an organisation, they should arrange for a Health Professional to evaluate you during the practical training component.

Are your courses accredited? Are you an RTO?

We are not RTO. We offer NDIS-compliant competency-based courses, and our courses can be used for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).

Who wrote your courses?

The courses are developed in-house by the NGO Training Centre and are aimed specifically at the sector. They utilise qualified and respected subject matter experts across the field to ensure high-quality and relevant content that ensures compliance.

Who are the instructors?

Courses are delivered online, so they do not have instructors. These courses have been developed with industry-relevant subject matter experts and ensure compliance.

How are competency-based courses evaluated?

The E-Learn component of the course has reflective practice questions to check learning for each topic, and a final assessment quiz must be passed to complete the course. Once a course is completed, a certificate is issued to the learner, validating their completion.

What happens if I fail?

As long as you have access to the course, you are able to retake both the E-Learn component and the test as many times as you require.

Will these courses help us pass an audit?

All our courses have been reviewed by NDIS Lead auditors and are designed to help you pass your audits successfully.

Do your courses have accessibility options?

All courses have playback speed controls, as well as the script text included on every slide.

Where can I access my course?

Anywhere that has an internet connection. On a computer, mobile device, on the go, at home, overseas

How long is a course?

The average duration of the courses is approximately 30 minutes. However, the actual duration may vary depending on the complexity of the course. You can find the specific duration of each course in the course list, including learning outcomes. (PDF has been shared)

What happens if I don’t pass?

If you fail to pass the course, don’t worry! As long as you have access to the course, you can retake both the eLearn component and the test as many times as you need to until you pass. We encourage you to keep trying and learning.
