1. Who we are
Sentrient Pty Ltd is an Australian-registered company (ABN 63 609 044 788), based in Melbourne, Victoria, providing Compliance, GRC and HR software to organisations across Australia.
2. Our commitment
Sentrient takes a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery. We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships, and to implementing effective systems and controls to help ensure modern slavery is not taking place in our own business or in our supply chains.
This statement is published voluntarily, reflecting that commitment.
3. What is modern slavery?
Modern slavery describes serious forms of exploitation, including human trafficking, slavery, servitude, forced labour, debt bondage, forced marriage, and the worst forms of child labour. More broadly, it includes situations where a person’s freedom to make their own choices has been significantly undermined or removed.
Modern slavery can be difficult to detect. Common risk indicators include unusually low prices or unrealistic turnaround times from suppliers, unclear or undisclosed subcontracting, inadequate work health and safety standards, and workers who appear unable to freely leave their employment or who lack control over their own identity documents.
4. Our supply chain
As a software company, Sentrient’s supply chain is relatively small and centres on professional and technology services rather than physical goods. It includes our cloud infrastructure provider (Microsoft Azure), our independent security testing provider (ZIRILIO), professional services providers, and standard corporate suppliers.
5. Due diligence and risk management
To help identify and manage modern slavery risk, we:
- assess and monitor our suppliers, with a focus on the categories of spend where risk is more likely to arise;
- maintain records of the goods and services we procure, to support transparency across our supply chain;
- provide guidance to our staff on recognising and reporting the signs of modern slavery; and
- review and update our approach as our business and supply chain evolve.
6. How to raise a concern
Anyone – including our staff, clients, suppliers, or members of the public – can raise a concern about modern slavery in our business or supply chain. Concerns can be raised confidentially by contacting us using the details in section 8.
We take all concerns seriously, and will assess and respond to them appropriately. No one will be subject to retaliation for raising a genuine concern in good faith.
7. Governance and review
This statement reflects Sentrient’s current approach to modern slavery risk. It is reviewed at least annually, with oversight from [confirm: e.g. our Managing Director / leadership team], and updated as our business and supply chain evolve.
