There is a third benefit that is easy to demonstrate and rarely mentioned. Onboarding is where almost all of your compliance evidence is created.
The information statements issued. The employment terms confirmed in writing. The safety induction delivered and recorded. Policies issued, acknowledged and version-stamped. Training assigned, completed and followed up. Licences and clearances checked and dated.
Every one of those is something an employer may later be asked to produce, and every one is generated in the first fortnight or not at all.
An organisation that cannot show these for a recent starter has a gap that a retention argument will not close.
