Choosing the best online performance management system usually turns into a feature comparison. Two questions matter more and rarely come up in a demo.
Can you get the data out? Performance records may need to be retained for years and may be needed in a dispute. If the only way to retrieve them is a screenshot, or export produces a file nobody can read, you have a problem that only appears when you leave the product.
Is history preserved? Ask what happens when a manager edits a completed review. Does the earlier version survive, and is the change stamped and attributed. A system that silently overwrites is a system where the record can be changed after the fact.
