Data nobody owns. Employee data sits across payroll, spreadsheets and someone’s inbox, and it disagrees. The fix is naming one owner per data set before migration, not during it.
Processes that were never written down. Configuration forces decisions that were previously made case by case, and nobody wants to be the one who decides. Fix by deciding in advance, in writing.
No internal owner. A project run by the vendor stalls at every decision point.
Go-live during a busy period. Avoid end of financial year and your peak trading season entirely, however tempting the timing looks on a plan.
