Compliance software for healthcare faces a workforce problem most industries do not have. A large share of what you hold about a person has an expiry date.

Practitioner registration that must remain current. Working with children and other clearances. Immunisation and screening records. Mandatory training with a renewal cycle. Police checks. Insurance for contracted practitioners.

Any one of those lapsing can mean somebody is rostered who should not be working, which is a clinical risk before it is an administrative one.

Which makes expiry tracking the deciding capability rather than a feature. Ask whether the system prompts before expiry, escalates when nothing happens, and can produce a list of everybody currently non-current.

Storing a certificate somewhere is not remotely the same thing as tracking whether it is still valid.
