The data has to connect. Recruitment has to link to onboarding, which links to performance, which links to learning, which links to movement and exit. Without that, every question worth asking becomes a manual exercise.
Most organisations cannot answer basic questions for this reason. Do people hired through one channel stay longer. Does completing a development programme change progression. Which teams lose people fastest, and did anything we did about it help.
None of those needs sophisticated analytics. They need one employee identifier that survives across systems, which is a plumbing problem rather than a strategy problem.
