GRC Software Features
GRC software features are usually listed out module by module. Risk register, compliance register, incidents, audits, policies. Most products on the market have all of them.
The feature that actually separates one product from another is whether those modules connect to each other in a usable way.
What connection means concretely. An obligation links to the controls that satisfy it. Each control links to the evidence that it operated, which might be a training completion, a policy acknowledgement or a completed check. An incident links back to the control that failed. And a report can start from an obligation and reach the evidence in one path.
Without that linkage you have several separate registers sharing one login, and answering what happened with any particular obligation still means opening four different things.
ASIC publishes governance guidance. This is general information rather than legal advice, and obligations vary by state and territory.
