HRMS Software Features
HRMS software features are usually compared as a list, and the list tells you very little about how the system will feel in six months.
The features that get demonstrated are dashboards, analytics and workflow diagrams. The features that get used every day are much duller. Finding a person quickly. Approving something from a phone. Updating a record without opening four screens. Getting a report out without asking anyone for help.
Two questions cut through a feature list. How many clicks does the most common task take, and who has to be involved to change something simple like a reporting line.
Adoption is decided by the dull features. An organisation that picks on the dashboard and struggles with the daily tasks ends up with an expensive record store.
The Fair Work Ombudsman covers employee record obligations. This is general information rather than legal advice, and obligations vary by state and territory.
