Learning Assessment Software

Learning assessment software is often treated as an optional extra on a learning platform. For compliance purposes it is the part that carries weight.

A completion record shows somebody opened the content and reached the end. That evidences receipt, and not much else.

An assessment result shows they could answer questions about it. Where an obligation turns on what an organisation did to prepare people, the second is a materially better answer than the first.

Two practical points. Keep the questions, the content version and the responses rather than just the score, because a score without the question set proves very little. And record what happened with the people who failed, since an assessment nobody had to pass is a completion record with extra steps.
