main Components and Modules of HRMS
The main components and modules of HRMS are consistent across products even where the names differ.
Core records hold the employee file. Recruitment covers job postings, applicants and offers. Onboarding runs the first few weeks. Compliance covers policy acknowledgement, training and incidents. Learning delivers and records courses. Performance handles goals, check-ins and reviews. Leave and time cover absence. Reporting sits across all of it.
Almost every organisation buys all of them and then switches all of them on at the same time, which is the mistake that costs the project.
A better order is core records first, then whichever single process currently causes the most manual work, then one more once the first is genuinely in use. Modules switched on before anybody needs them get abandoned, and then quietly distrusted.
The Fair Work Ombudsman covers record obligations. This is general information rather than legal advice, and obligations vary by state and territory.
