Manual handling training in the workplace is usually run in a meeting room. Delivered in the work area instead, it does considerably more, and it costs the same.
The reason is that the examples stop being hypothetical. Standing at the actual shelf, with the actual load, in the actual space available, people identify problems they would never raise in a classroom. The trolley that does not fit through the door. The delivery that always arrives on the wrong pallet. The shelf everyone reaches over.
It also changes what the session produces. A classroom session produces attendance. A session on the floor produces a list of specific things to fix, with the people who have to live with them present.
Run it at a normal working time, not during a quiet period.
