Preventing Workplace Bullying Course
A preventing workplace bullying course built around the two obvious roles, the person bullying and the person bullied, misses the largest group in any team.
Most people are bystanders. They see it, recognise it, and say nothing, because nothing they could say feels available in the moment.
That is the gap worth training, and not through confrontation, which few will attempt. The realistic options are smaller. Interrupting with something neutral to break the moment. Checking in with the person afterwards, which matters far more than people expect. Naming it privately later. Backing them up if they raise it, so they are not the only voice.
Bystander behaviour is also the clearest signal of what a team actually tolerates, which is why it predicts recurrence better than any policy.
Safe Work Australia covers psychosocial hazards. This is general information rather than legal advice, and obligations vary by state and territory.
