Regulatory Changes in 2025
A list of regulatory changes in 2025 was useful for a few months and is now a historical document. That is true of every year-labelled list, which is why the more valuable thing is a way of tracking.
A workable tracker has four parts. A named person who owns horizon scanning, even if it is an hour a month. A short list of sources that actually cover you, meaning your regulators, your industry body and the ombudsman or commission relevant to your workforce. A standing agenda item where anything found gets raised. And a link from each obligation in your register to the source that governs it, so a change points at what it affects.
Without that last link, a change gets noted and never traced to the policy it makes wrong.
ASIC publishes governance guidance. This is general information rather than legal advice, and obligations vary by state and territory.
