Respect In The Workplace Training For Employees
Respect in the workplace training for employees is usually written around two roles, the person behaving badly and the person on the receiving end. The largest group is neither.
Most people are bystanders. They see something, register that it was not right, and say nothing, because nothing they could say feels available in the moment.
That is the gap worth training, and not with confrontation, which few people will attempt. The realistic options are smaller. Interrupting with something neutral to break the moment. Checking in with the person afterwards, which matters more than people expect. Naming it privately later. Backing someone up when they raise it, so they are not the only voice in the room.
Bystander action is also one of the clearest signals of what a team actually tolerates.
