Conflict resolution training online is often treated as the compromise option. It is better than a classroom at several things and worse at exactly one.

Better. Reach across sites, shifts and part-time staff. Consistency, since every learner gets the same content. Completion evidence, which matters when you need to show the training happened. And privacy, because people engage more honestly with a sensitive topic when no colleague is watching.

Worse. Live practice. You cannot fully rehearse a difficult conversation against a screen.

The practical fix is not to abandon the format, which does the other four things well. It is to pair completion with something small and live, a team discussion of two scenarios at a regular meeting, or a manager one-to-one using the same framework.
