Free HR Compliance Webinar
A free HR compliance webinar is a short briefing built for the people who carry the process risk in an Australian workplace. That means HR managers, people and culture leads, and the owners doing both jobs at once. Each session works through one obligation and what a defensible process looks like in practice.
Most HR exposure is procedural rather than policy based. Having the policy is rarely the problem. How the manager ran the performance conversation, what the employment agreement actually said, and whether anyone wrote it down is where claims are won and lost. The Fair Work Commission received 44,075 lodgements in 2024-25, roughly 24% above its five year average, and unfair dismissal accounted for about 37% of them.
Sessions pitched at HR practitioners include:
- GRC for HR leaders, on carrying governance and risk work inside a small people team
- Performance management and the law, and where a process becomes indefensible
- Employment agreements, including the casual definition in section 15A that has applied since 26 August 2024
- Compliance outlook, covering what changes in the year ahead
Lodgement figures come from the Fair Work Commission’s annual reports. Obligations differ across states and territories and change often, so treat this as general information rather than legal advice and check anything contentious with your adviser.
