Free Regulatory Compliance Webinar
A regulatory compliance webinar is a briefing on obligations set by a sector regulator rather than by general employment law. For Australian organisations that means bodies such as the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and the state child safe regulators, each with its own rules, audit expectations and evidence requirements.
The distinction matters because sector rules reach further than most teams expect. The NDIS Code of Conduct, described in section 6 of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (Code of Conduct) Rules 2018, binds registered and unregistered providers alike, along with their key personnel and workers. The Commission’s worker orientation module, “Quality, safety and you”, is mandatory for staff of registered providers and open to everyone else. Boards and executives are often the last to see where the gaps sit.
Sessions in this area tend to cover:
- governance, risk and compliance for NDIS providers
- strengthening compliance and care in disability services
- GRC for schools, where child safe obligations sit alongside work health and safety
Registration is free and the sessions are run for Australian practitioners. Requirements differ by sector, state and territory and change often, so treat anything covered as general information rather than legal advice and confirm the current position with your regulator. For disability providers the NDIS Commission’s Code of Conduct guidance is the primary source.
