HR Policies And Procedures Template
An HR policies and procedures template solves the blank page problem. It does not solve the harder one, which is making the document describe how your organisation actually works.
A template arrives with placeholder role titles, a generic reporting route and assumptions about size and structure. Adopted unchanged, it creates a document that names a position you do not have and a process nobody follows.
Four things need changing before a template goes live. The roles named in it, so they exist on your org chart. The reporting route, so it leads somewhere real. Any references to legislation, checked against the jurisdiction you operate in. And the escalation timeframes, so they are ones you can meet.
A policy that promises a response you cannot deliver is worse than no policy, because the gap is now documented.
