PPE Awareness Training
PPE awareness training tends to explain what equipment is required and when. The more useful content is why it stops being worn.
Fit is the largest reason. Equipment sized for an average adult male fits a substantial part of the workforce poorly, and poorly fitted protection is often barely protection at all.
Comfort is next. Heat, weight and interference with the task all push people toward removing it at exactly the moments the work is hardest.
Then practicality. Gloves that make a task impossible get taken off, and no amount of training changes that.
Awareness training that invites people to say what is not working, in an organisation that then actually changes the equipment, achieves far more than repeating the requirement more loudly.
Safe Work Australia publishes PPE guidance. This is general information rather than legal advice, and obligations vary by state and territory.
